Kefir grains delivery in the UK, step by step
In short
Live grains are strained from a working jar on the morning of dispatch, weighed, sealed in a food pouch with some of their milk and packed with the guide. Dispatch is within 24 to 48 hours of your order, with tracking all the way to your letterbox, door or collection point. The grains are fine for a week in their pouch. Summer and winter
| Season | On the way | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Summer, heatwave | The milk turns sourer and protects the grains; the pouch puffs up | A parcel locker or collection point beats a sunny doorstep |
| Winter, frost | The grains simply slow down | Give them an extra day at room temperature to start |
What is normal on arrival
A puffed-up pouch, thick or separated milk, a strong tangy smell, grains stuck together in a lump. All signs of active grains. Not normal, and rare: a dry pouch with no liquid, or a pink or green layer. Send a photo to hello@natural-probio.com and a replacement goes out.
